Fresh, informal, unique, authentic, vibrant, joyful, intense, emotional, strong, intuitive, spiritual, and perceptive—these are just some of the many words I use to describe my sister, La Beba. She is the inspiration behind our Beba Bracelets!

La Beba has been an integral part of Alijuna in many ways: as a graphic designer, as design support, and most importantly, as my emotional rock during the times I need her most.

Although we live in different countries and don’t see each other often, we share a spiritual connection that transcends any distance. As she always says, “no hay distancia cuando el amor nos define,” which means “there is no distance when love defines us.”

I usually work with tiny beads, but I eventually wanted to explore larger, chunkier beads. I spent a lot of time thinking about this collection and had some doubts until February, when I traveled to be with her as she welcomed her first child, our beautiful Mariano. I gifted her the Lula Grande Bracelet and a sample from the new collection, featuring 12mm round agate beads. Seeing her wear these two bracelets together all the time was incredibly moving. Watching her embrace her new role as a mother while enjoying her Alijunas was the moment I knew the new Beba Bracelets had to be a reality.

Months later, I have curated a stunning selection of beads in various sizes, colors, and shapes. This collection is based on the properties of each semiprecious gemstone, with a focus on high quality and unique, uncommon beads. I've also included fun and chunky vintage beads, along with gold-filled and sterling silver options.
